iPhone Privacy Shocker

As the most popular mobile phone in the market, the Apple iPhone is a gorgeous device and one which many small business owners use to keep on top of their business. With so many features, the functionality of the phone is perfect for an on-the-go business person. There are literally thousands of apps available to manage various tasks through the day.

An interesting fact of life of using mobile phones and apps is that most people do not even realize what permissions they are granting to the device and software. In some cases, these permissions are shocking.

For example, did you know the default setting for the iPhone includes a tracking widget that knows where you are at all times and logs in that data? The data includes location visits, time of day, duration, route taken, number of visit to each location. Why is this information being stored? And more importantly, why isn’t it fully disclosed that this is happening on your phone? Most users, when finding out of this breach in privacy, want to immediately disable the feature and protect their privacy.

Luckily for our readers, we are happy to provide the step by step procedure for disabling the tracking software:

1. From the home screen, launch the settings app

2. Tap on Privacy

3. Tap on Location Services

4. On the next screen tap on System Services

5. Tap on Frequent Locations

6. Finally on this screen slide the button to off.

That is it. The phone will no longer track you and share that data to whoever has access to it. One word of advice, we also recommend on the final screen tapping on the Clear History button as well. Might as well dump all of that collected data from your phone.
